Arkansas Methodist Medical Center has received two American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines® achievement awards: Coronary Artery Disease Rural Recognition – Silver award, and Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Referring Center-Bronze award, for its commitment to offering rapid, research-based care to people experiencing a specific type of heart attack known as an ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), known to be more severe and dangerous than other types of heart attacks.

Arkansas Hospital Association Announces 2023 Diamond Awards Winners

The Arkansas Hospital Association 2023 Diamond Awards recognize excellence and encourage improvement in the quality, effectiveness, and impact of health care marketing and public relations in the state of Arkansas. Arkansas Methodist Medical Center (AMMC) received a Diamond Award in the category of Television/Public Service Announcements for 100-249 beds division. AMMC also received a 2023 Certificate of Excellence for the 2022 Annual Report.

AMMC 28th Annual Foundation Golf Tournament

Arkansas Methodist Medical Center held the 28th annual Foundation Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Paragould Country Club. Over 200 golfers supported the AMMC Foundation and participated in a four-person scramble with a morning and afternoon flight. Pepsi was the Event Sponsor for the tournament.

The Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Auxiliary recently held a reception for the 2023 Candy Stripers. The AMMC Candy Stripers spent nine weeks this summer working with the AMMC Auxiliary and supporting staff in several patient care areas.

Arkansas Methodist Medical Center CEO Announces Retirement

Arkansas Methodist Medical Center (AMMC), a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services, announced the retirement of its CEO, Barry Davis, effective August 31, 2023. Brad Bloemer, CFO, has been announced by the board to serve as interim CEO.

AMMC Names Employees of the Year

Arkansas Methodist Medical Center (AMMC) has named Holly Copeland as 2022 Employee of the Year, and Yong Ko as 2022 Manager of the Year. Thomas Hancock received the GEM (Going the Extra Mile) award from the AMMC Foundation. These awards are the highest honors bestowed on a hospital employee each year. These individuals were chosen from among 600 employees for the honor.

Cardiac Rehab Program Open at AMMC

Arkansas Methodist Medical Center’s (AMMC) Cardiac Rehab program is open and currently accepting patients. Cardiac Rehab is a 12-week program that incorporates education and exercise to help improve the patient’s quality of life after a cardiac event such as heart attack, heart surgery, or heart disease.

McGowan Joins Chateau on the Ridge Board of Directors

​Sue McGowan has joined the Chateau on the Ridge Board of Directors. She will work with the board and Chateau on the Ridge Director Deborah Farrell, in making decisions and policies that will benefit the assisted living facility and its 62 residents.

3/3/22 - Arkansas Methodist Medical Center is excited to announce that it has been officially recognized as a Cribs for Kids National Gold Certified Safe Sleep Hospital.
