The Administrative Secretary carries through to completion of specific work projects assigned by the Administration Staff relative to the operation of the medical center or specific patient services. Assists Administration by performing secretarial tasks, switchboard functions, and other minor duties as assigned by the Administrative Staff.
Requirements:
Two years of switchboard, secretarial, and customer service skills, High School Diploma.
The Patient Access Associate is responsible for the registration of inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room patients in a competent and efficient manner; obtains required demographic and financial data in order to create an accurate patient chart; verifies insurance coverage; and collects patient deposits when necessary; effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other healthcare members while maintaining standards of professionalism. The Switchboard Operator is responsible for answering all incoming calls to the switchboard; transfers calls to the appropriate department or person; maintains the on-call lists for various departments and physicians; directs patients and/or visitors to various locations throughout the hospital; performs overhead paging and beeping as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to work weekends, when scheduled. At least one year of computer experience and excellent people skills. Background in healthcare environment preferred
The Patient Accounts Rep. is responsible for reviewing and processing insurance claims timely and accurately in order to insure productivity and effective cash flow. The Patient Accounts Rep. processes all claim edits and deletions to insure timely processing of accounts, low number of accounts outstanding and smooth transition of accounts through the collection process. The Patient Accounts Rep. effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other healthcare members while maintaining standards of professionalism.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of computer experience and excellent people skills and previous experience with medical billing, third party, and agency (Medicare/Medicaid) patient follow-up preferred. Background in healthcare environment preferred.

Position Summary: The Health Information Clerk/Tech is responsible for various clerical duties in the office to include scanning of documents to include ER, OP records to include ODS & POB records, assembly of inpatient records, chart tracking entry, chart deficiency maintenance, recording of certain statistical information, reporting of statistical information to department manager, preparation of birth certificates and transmitting electronically to state, preparation of death certificates for inpatients and sending to funeral homes as a courtesy, and any other filing that needs to be accomplished in the department. They will also be responsible for greeting customers at the front desk and helping them with information. The clerk should be proficient in medical terminology. Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology is also of great assistance. Adaptability is essential, because the health information clerk works with many types of people.
Required Education: High school education preferred with skills and experience in MS Word, medical terminology.
